Important changes to Orientation dates for Diploma of Biosciences and Diploma of Engineering

Please take note of the following changes to semester intakes for both Diploma of Biosciences and Diploma of Engineering.

Diploma of Engineering
In 2009, the Diploma of Engineering will increase to three [3] intakes per year. Semester 2 intake will move from July to June.

Semester 1 > February intake > Orientation Monday 23 February
Semester 2 > June intake (previously July) > Orientation Monday 22 June
Semester 3 > October intake (new intake) > Orientation Monday 19 October

Diploma of Biosciences
In 2009, the Semester 2 intake for Diploma of Biosciences will move from July to June. Diploma of Biosciences will continue to have two [2] intakes per year.

Semester 1 > February intake > Orientation Monday 23 February
Semester 2 > June intake (previously July) > Orientation Monday 22 June
Semester 3 > No intake

All students (and their agents) with an existing offer and all students who have already accepted a place at QIBT, will be sent appropriate communication, specific to their individual application, in the very near future. QIBT anticipates the impact to the majority of students to be minimal, and QIBT will advise students appropriately on any changes to semester start dates and any related visa issues as soon as possible. Your Admissions Officer will be in touch shortly if these changes affect any of your current student applications.
